A prestigious and successful local company are looking for a new Production Manager to join their vibrant and busy production department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a diverse and exciting organisation, with the chance to mentor and develop a varied group of Production Technicians. Main objectives;

  • To maintain the timely production of products, while upholding the company's high standards for quality.
  • To ensure that the competencies of the workforce are tracked, and to provide leadership to your team by developing plans for their personal development as motivating them to strive for success.
  • To improve planning methods.
  • To review and improve the purchasing of materials/consumables.

Key responsibilities;

  • Overseeing the production process (low volume, bespoke).
  • Drawing up production schedules in-line with the business objectives (production volume, manufacturing controlled costs, safety etc.).
  • Working within company operating guidelines.
  • To ensure the adherence to best practice procedures through the department.
  • Inspection of production, assembly.
  • Managing the quality of the department.
  • Managing the completion of special projects for customers.

Experience/qualifications needed;

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification, such as HNC).
  • Experience of managing a team of at least 15.
  • Good management skills, the ability to lead and develop a team of people.
  • Previous experience of working in a production environment.
  • Experience of inspections, assembly, testing and installation of mechanical products.

This is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm. The salary is nbegotiable dependin upon experience and skills.
