Our client is a leading Gaming company.

Increased growth has led to the opening of a new role for a Product Quality Engineer to join their operation based near Derby:

Job Role:

To provide the primary Quality Engineering interface for the Hardware Group.  The focus of this job is on problem solving and using skills and experience to determine the root cause of quality issues.  This will be a role which pushes through functional boundaries in order to address quality concerns throughout the product cycle, from suppliers through design and manufacturing and at customer end site.  This is a hands-on problem solving role with the intent to lead to more robust products with higher up-time.Key roles and responsibilities will include:

Duties:
 
-      Determine Key Quality Metrics and assure they are monitored on a periodic basis.
 
-      Drive data collection activities from field, repair centre and production to allow for fact based analysis of quality measures.
 
-      Compile and analyse data to prioritise improvement activities.
 
-      Proactively seek quality improvements throughout the production processes.
 
-      Take lead role in multi-disciplinary problem solving activities to reduce identified quality issues.
 
-      Drive corrective and preventive action processes ensuring full identification of issues, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions both internally and at suppliers.
 
-      Where there are business risks, provide day to day production support to assure that identified quality issues are contained.
 
-      Work with design team and NPI team to review quality aspects of new products.  Develop a continuous improvement mentality to take "lessons learned" and make better, more reliable products.
 
-      Support Global Engineering Group and back-up other roles as required.


 
Candidate Criteria: 

* Demonstrated experience in a Quality Engineering role.

* Experienced in manufacturing.

* Prior experience in an engineering role in hardware production and or service.

* Prior exposure to Continuous Improvement and TQM programs.

* Can demonstrate the use of the problem solving tools and implement and drive actions plans.

* Higher level of software understanding 

* Degree in an Engineering or Computer Sciences discipline.
