An opportunity has now arisen for a Product Prototype Assistant to join their team.

As a Product Prototype Assistant, you will focus on generating and maintaining product bills of materials (BoMs). This will include providing kits and build instructions of prototype builds.
You will also ensure the parts within them undergo the required approval processes before release for mass production.
Working closely with Hardware Engineers and CAD to identify BoMs, you duties will include:
- Maintaining BoMs in line with changes required by the Hardware Engineers
- Scheduling builds, arranging kit deliveries and providing build instructions
- Driving the production and qualification of new parts and ensuring that all components are approved
- Attending material calls, monitoring material lists and ensuring a continuity of supply
- Liaising with the contract manufacturer/parent company and attending project meetings
- Co-ordinating the tracking and setting of priorities relating to the approval process
- Recording component lead time and test information
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Experience of product development and/or prototyping
- A working knowledge of electronic components
As a Product Prototype Assistant, you must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have the ability to work with precision whilst keeping track of many tasks. A flexible, adaptable approach is also key.
Although not essential, experience of working with bills of material would be an advantage to your application. Experience of working with hardware prototypes would also be beneficial.
