Product Development Engineer

An innovative medical device development company is looking for a Product Development Engineer to join their team to assist with a new product venture. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced development engineer to prove their skills in this development project for a soft-tissue product. Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying opportunities to improve the device
• Bring new ideas for upscaling the manufacturing process
• Ensuring you remain up-to-date and compliant with design and regulatory requirements
• Creating and evaluating protocols for the testing of new device features and improvements
• Analysing and communicating the outcomes

You will be spending a lot of time in the labs, and so a background in chemistry would be beneficial - the chemical processes involved in manufacture will also require evaluating and improving.

You need to have excellent organisation and communication skills, as well as being meticulous and adaptable. Attention to detail is vital in this role, and as part of a small team, you need to be open-minded, easy-going and self-motivated.  You need to have device development experience, preferably in a soft-tissue product but other disciplines will be considered. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial but isn’t a must for this role. You must be up to date with quality and regulatory systems in this industry too.
