** Competitive Salary + Company Car** The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading all procurement activities for the business, and manage / motivate a small team. The Procurement Manager will report into Operations Director. Specific responsibilities of the Procurement Manager will include:
1. Procurement of all materials and services for manufacturing sites
2. Liaise with Production Control so as to ensure all Production demands are met.
3. Support Technical & Production Engineering on new product/process development & launch.
4. Negotiate contracts for procured items, ensuring that Quality is met & maintained and best price is achieved.
5. Assist Ops & Financial Directors in setting budgets for manufacturing sites
6. Product costing
7. Manage / Motivate Purchasing Team
8. Meeting company targets & goals as determined by Budgets, set KPI’s and LEAN practices.
9. Liaison with overseas suppliers and our factories abroad.
Prospective Procurement Managers should meet the following criteria:
1. Purchasing experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment
2. Experience sourcing and managing a global supply base
3. Degree/HNC in a Business qualification and/ or CIPS - Desirable
