Process Systems Specialist - Food - Manufacturing - FMCG - HACCP- Permanent - North Yorkshire - £26-30k + Benefits

A international specialist food company are currently looking to recruit an Industrialisation Process Systems Specialist to join their Supply Chain group and take a lead role in ensuring the successful integration of all new products, processes and equipment to site observing all required HS&E, Quality and Business standards.

Another key feature of the role will be to design, develop, test and evaluate systems and test protocols to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of process safety, quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Duties will include:
•Validate the suitability of all new products requested for introduction to site ensuring safety, quality, logistical and costing standards are met or exceeded.
•Provide Planning and Production with all required product data, manufacturing instructions, safety information and allergen information to produce all products.
•Creation and training out of Safe Systems of Work on all new plant and equipment.
•Plan, organize and lead product trials as required
•Provision of Technical input and support for any on-site projects.
•Resolution of production problems to maximize production reliability.
•Facilitate product transfers to site from other sites within group.
•Development of good working relationships internally and externally to site to continue to improve our systems and implement best practices within group.
•Input and maintenance of product 'Make' data in SAP for site
•Review production processing data to identify where yield improvements can be made. Ensure production settings are optimized for maximum processing and cost efficiency.
To be considered for this opportunity you will hold a Degree (or equivalent) level qualification in Food Science / Process Engineering or a related subject. Work experience gained operating in the food industry (or a related manufacturing environment), in a process / technical capacity is also essential coupled with good planning, organisation, and communication skills. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to build strong, strategic working relationships across the business and excellent Quality orientation. A working knowledge of HACCP will be advantageous along with Spray Drying and / or flavour blending expertise.
