A global organisation has tasked Reed Engineering to help recruit a new Process Engineer to add value to their team.
Job Description
The role will involve providing engineering support in the design, development and operation of manufacturing systems to continuously improve productivity and economically produce products of maximum quality.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
• Third level qualification in an engineering or technical discipline (degree, HND, HNC or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a manufacturing engineering environment
• IT literate, proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of manufacturing and experience in heavy industry
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools/techniques
• Experience of CAD/CAM systems
Key competencies:
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Good project management skills
• Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
• Customer focus and teamwork skills
Although continuous development experience will be crucial, the ability to work on the shop floor and influence improvements from a practical level will be key.
