YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Previous experience of managing and developing a process team within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Experience of managing the trial process in an efficient way using the gate process.
Technical experience in packaging films and plastics.
Knowledge and understanding of good manufacturing processes including HACCP.
Experience of continuous improvement processes.
Experience of costing products / commercial awareness.
Works as part of a team and has experience of working in cross functional teams.
Strong influencing skills - the ability to influence different people at different levels.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Project, Outlook, Word & Excel.
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
Problem solving skills.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Fresh food experience.
Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems would be advantageous.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Process Development Manager will act as the functional and cultural "handshake" between NPD and Operations/Technical. To ensure ways of working are in collaboration and with full transparency whilst maintaining a customer, consumer and commercial approach.
The Process Development Manager will lead a structured programme of technical innovation that gives product differentiation in the market and first to market capability. To find the next big thing or create significant improvement to a current market innovation.
The Process Development Manager will develop a clear trial framework that supports the Innovation agenda - fast capability, test and learn, maximised margins and first to market.
The Process Development Manager will be accountable for enabling consistent and speedy implementation of key customer product launches, taking an agreed finished concept through trial development to factory ownership at pre-production stage.
The Process Deevlopment Manager will be accountable for leading, managing and developing the Process Team
To manage a focussed plan of EPD/perennial issue resolution supported by a structured post launch review process.
