Print & Packaging Trainee

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working person with a good work ethic and flexible attitude to join the Print team for this local company. This is a trainee position where you will be trained in all aspects of the role and on every machine.

You will be a very methodical person with high concentration levels and have good accuracy and attention to details. You will be quick and eager to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Core responsibilities include:

• Repacking of all goods received from the Warehouse according to requirements
• Pack all goods produced within the Printworks according to requirements
• Stack wrap and control the location of all finished work for collection by a Warehouse Operative
• Learn and operate the range of print finishing and print machinery
• Follow detailed instructions to complete tasks accurately
• Complete all time and work sheets accurately and on time
• Ensure that all machinery is maintained correctly and all faults and problems are reported to the manager promptly
• Keep your work area clean and tidy, clearing waste, whilst being environmentally conscious
• Assist the departmental Manager and team with other duties as requested
• Take a responsible attitude to Health and Safety at work

The working environment can be noisy and you will be operating moving part and hand operated machinery. Some lifting and physical activity will be required. Will also involve some bench work and use of ink and cleaning chemicals. Some duties can be very repetitive.
