Press Tooling Engineer
Up to £33k pa

Our client is an automotive component manufacturer of Body-in-White (BIW) components and sunroof assemblies.
The main responsibility of the rolle will be for Tooling (Current and new model introduction)
Job Description
• Ensure smooth transition from Project stage to Mass Production
• Control of new Press Tooling ensuring compliance
• Provide additional support for Projects
• Control of new Press Tooling
• Manage tooling and equipment suppliers to achieve delivery and installation requirements (QCD).
• Plan and manage installation of tooling and equipment, this includes equipment moves; Die and Tooling accuracy improvements and build of event parts.
• Support daily production activities.
• Take an active role in managing full health and safety awareness.
• Learn, understand and manage the company Quality Management system to assist you in supporting your activities with process and documentation control.
• Daily production support in Stamping – Quality & Efficiency
Person Specification
• Previous experience in a BIW Press Tooling environment is essential.
• Working knowledge of CATIA is essential.
• Experienced in Stamping Die / Tooling procurement and installation.
• Capable of creating and documenting Situation and Decision Analysis reports.
• Self-motivated with the willingness and ability to make decisions and implement change.
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization from general associate to senior manager.
• Experience in risk assessment and control of contractors is desirable.
• You should be adaptable, flexible and possess the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Determination and drive to ensure Quality is maintained in all aspects of role.
