Organisation Description

The Premier Independent Financial Advisor’s (IFA) role is to support a Branch Manager by providing professional independent financial planning services to both new and existing high value (Premier) customers. This means identifying and meeting customer needs with particular emphasis on protection, pension, investment and insurance products available through the bank’s UK branch network, whilst consistently treating customers fairly (TCF).

This is a regulated role and requires relevant qualifications as described below.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Working with a sophisticated customer base, providing specialist advice on relevant financial products and services (Protection, Pensions and Investments), including full financial planning reviews and portfolio management
• Optimising appointments with customers to identify needs and opportunities and provide solutions in order to achieve personal and team sales targets
• Managing customer relationships in a manner that builds customer loyalty and satisfaction
Advocating putting customers first and delivering a consistently excellent customer experience
• Recognising the wider wealth planning needs of customers in order to refer customers to other areas of the bank where their needs for non-regulated products can be met

Person Specification

Qualifications 

In order to be considered for this role you must have:
• The QCF Level 4 Diploma Qualification
• Competent Advisor (CA) status now or have held CA status in the past five years.
In addition to the qualifications described above, the ideal candidate will be required to:
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of wealth management products and services and an extensive external market awareness
• Champion and drive unique sales and service initiatives, continually seeking and seizing opportunities to accelerate business growth
• Network and build relationships required for developing and delivering joined up services and solutions aligned to customer needs and to increase referrals between business areas
• Communicate professionally, effectively and inclusively with a diverse audience, in person and in writing
• Coach/train colleagues in your specialist products/areas of expertise
• Work independently, proactively managing your time and commitments to meet a range of stakeholders’ needs and priorities
• Understand the regulatory, financial and risk contexts in which financial advisors operate and have experience of personally complying with relevant regulation and quality measures
