The Company:
Our client is a precision machining and sheet metal fabrication based in Essex. Their client base has included automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence, building and telecoms industries. Their extensive range of services include 5-axis machining, 5-axis laser, CNC milling and turning, fabrication, assembly work and design/programming
The Role:
Our client is looking for an individual with some experience of Estimation, and who is keen to develop their career in that direction, to join them on a permanent basis, supporting the current Estimator.
Liaising internally, with production, sales and procurement colleagues to estimate production resources/costs, and externally, with Clients regarding specification.
This role offers a long term opportunity and potential for career development.

Have you gained estimation experience in a precision engineering environment?
Are you fully conversant with all aspects of CNC machining?
Are you based within reasonable commuting distance to Essex?

- Ability to liaise with material and sub contract service providers to produce detailed quotations for customers
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare quotations
- Fully conversant with all aspects of CNC machining
- Proven experience of carrying out an estimating function
- Good solid sales follow up experience
- Excellent computer and numeracy skills
- Work under own initiative and as part of a team
