Practice Manager- Immediate need

My client is a well established accountancy practice near Edgware and due to internal changes, they are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join the team. The role is a mix of accounts management (60%) and audit (40%)

Reporting into the partners, the role will involve managing the workload and day to day management of the staff within the firm. For this role they are looking a Qualified ACCA/ACA Accountant, who has previous experience in a similar role. Key responsibilities will include;

• Managing a team of 10 people, responsible for development and training
• Distributing and managing workloads, checking and and signing off work
• Leading audits including submitting reports and recommendations
• Liasing with clients and building client relationships.

This role is extremely hands on, so candidates must have strong technical accounting experience and have the ability to manage teams effectively. Candidates will ideally have used Sage or Iris.
