PR Intern – Signet Trading Ltd (Ernest Jones, H.Samuel, Leslie Davis)
Signet Trading Ltd – the home of well known jewellers Ernest Jones, H.Samuel and Leslie Davis - are looking for a creative and motivated intern who wants to develop understanding and skills in PR.
The internship / assignment will involve shadowing and assisting a small but highly effective PR team. Exposure will be given to the day-to-day Press Office responsibilities of sample and image management, call-ins, communications and PR measurement.
Press Event involvement, personal development and the challenge of an individual learning assignment designed to help you develop skills for the future will be the main focus of this experience.
The ideal candidate must have a love for retail, preferably jewellery and fashion, with very strong organisational and people skills and be willing to take their own initiative on various projects. A can-do attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills and very strong PC skills (proficient with / in Outlook, Excel and Word) are key.
With a chance to gain experience within three of the best known jewellers in the UK in a fun and fast-moving environment, this is a great opportunity for someone keen to kick start a career in PR – either an undergraduate or a graduate looking for development through hands-on practice.
Duration: 3 months, 3-5 days per week.
Position beginning: 1st week in March 2012
Travel Expenses and Lunch reimbursed only.
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire – 20 minutes’ train journey from St Pancras station.
