The purpose of this role is to ensure payments are posted correctly to customer accounts in a prompt and accurate manner in accordance with adopted policies and procedures.

Your duties will include:

·Downloading all bank statements on a timely basis

·Appling payments through the internal systems correctly to customer accounts in accordance with adopted policies and procedures

· Completing all transfers and investigate queries on a timely basis and in accordance with adopted policies and procedures

·Taking part in the Finance Operations banking process which includes banking cheques and cash

·Providing assistance to  internal departments with any requirements including customer payment information, forms of payment methods to customers, to answer customer queries

·Helping the team with banking, sending telegraphic transfers, raising nominal cheques, direct debit set ups, answering telephones, sorting out queries raised internally and by customers

·Communicating issues on a timely basis to Finance Operations Supervisor / Manager


The ideal candidate will have;

  • A minimum of 6 GCSE’s at C or above, including Maths and English
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Strong PC skills including MS Excel and Word
  • Good Telephone skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team often to tight deadlines
