Portfolio Manager
Location: Exeter
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

This is an incredible opportunity to be working for one of the leading stockbroking and investment management companies in the UK that offer traditional, high-quality service to the discerning private investor. In this position you will be given great responsibility and a wide rage of duties to manage client portfolios.

Duties and Requirements:

Work with the investment manager to review client portfolios for the ongoing suitability of investments
Arrange deals in accordance with client documentation or on an execution only basis as appropriate
Deal for clients in stocks, shares, collectives and structured products
Keep abreast of market investment information and maintain a working knowledge of all professional developments ensuring this is acted upon in the company's and the clients interests
Personal compliance with all regulatory issues
Ensure that all personal records in relation to FSA 'approved persons' performance reviews and training and competency issues are kept up to date
Delegate and monitor appropriate duties to support staff
Advise on and manage client investment portfolios (principally stocks, shares and collective investments).

Skills and Qualifications:

CISI Masters in wealth management (Level 7) would be beneficial
Knowledge of investment management processes and techniques
General financial planning awareness
Broad understanding of compliance processes and procedures
Detailed regulatory knowledge of, and ability to quickly acquire missing knowledge specifically on requirements of the financial services and markets act and related documentation
Sound commercial judgement and overall understanding of the financial service industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
