Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Handle all types of personal injury claims where a serious and organised fraud connection has been identified or is suspected
- Handling claims in a cost effective manner in accordance with the group guidelines, procedures and claims philosophy
- Deciding on legal liability and policy liability issues
- Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
- Authorisation of cheques within laid down guidelines
- Handling claims pre and post litigation
Person Specification
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience of handling personal injury claims involving serious and organised general insurance fraud
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent judgement, decision making, analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and motivational skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong team working skills
- A full understanding of medical terminology and relevant awards
Required Qualifications / Other Information
- Possession of, or progress towards, CII qualifications would be advantageous
