The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and talented PHP Developer to join our Development Team.
Working in a collaborative environment, this role involves:
- Interpreting requirement briefs and specifications.
- Designing and developing warehousing and CRM systems and underlying databases using HTML, PHP, MySQL, CSS and JavaScript.
- Carrying out system testing and documentation.
- Liaising with internal customers and delivering training sessions.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of PHP and MVC frameworks and be able to develop and maintain systems based on a bespoke design and customised architecture. You will be able to advise internal customers on the best way to implement requirements and take advantage or extend upon of existing Zend modules and/or built-in functionality.
Essential to your success as a PHP Developer you will possess the following:
- A high level of PHP, Zend (or similar frameworks such as Symphony) and MySQL experience.
- Excellent knowledge of OOP.
- Knowledge of MVC.
Desirable elements:
- A working knowledge of the Zend framework.
- Understanding of HTML 5 and CSS3.
- Understanding of code repositories such as GIT or SVN.
- Understanding of Unit Testing.
- Strong JavaScript/AJAX knowledge.
Professional Experience

- Graduate calibre, ideally with an ICT or related degree.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in web development, preferably in a fast paced retail or e-commerce type organization.

- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects to agreed specifications.
- High level analytical, verbal and written presentation skills.
