Highly regarded General Insurance Company currently have an opening within the General Insurance Sales division to develop a specialist and more focussed approach to Personal Lines business:
This key role will champion and influence pricing, service, proposition and sales strategy for the Agency network and GI Sales Force to achieve maximum penetration and growth in target market segments. In addition a key focus of the role is to build and develop sales campaigns, initiatives and provide a market insight on market developments and competitor strategies.
Job Specification
- Research, develop, influence and monitor target markets, products, tools, pricing and channel choice to maximise growth potential and deliver long term growth objectives
- Propose, agree, develop, communicate, launch and monitor sales initiatives and incentives and propositions designed to achieve targeted growth within target markets
- Forecast, analyse, monitor, report and act on account and regional sales performance to inform effective sales planning and ensure corrective interventions are in place
- Research, recommend, influence and negotiate pricing, service and cover, in liaison with Underwriting and Customer Services to ensure propositions reflect best practice and remain competitive and valued within target markets
- Anticipate, analyse, communicate, influence and advise on the impact of product pricing changes to ensure Agency sales activity is strategically aligned and they are able to maximise their growth objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with Underwriting, Marketing, Finance and National Intermediary Services departments, Agency Development Managers, Sales Consultants, Agents and their representative bodies, industry and professional bodies, competitors to ensure the effective delivery of objectives
- Identify and develop commercially focussed affinity partnerships that extend target market areas in the achievement of long term growth objectives
- Research, guide, advise and influence projects and programmes to ensure the views of the field force and agencies are represented and impacts on sales considered
- Deliver short term / one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager
Personal Specification
- Significant experience of Sales development management in a GI environment
- Experience of influencing, developing, leading and motivating across both specialist and cross functional teams in a HO environment
- Experience of the general insurance personal market gained either through an insurance company or broker background
- Experience of developing and delivering strategic business plans
- Experience of managing business to business relationships
