We are currently recruiting a Personal Advisor for the Leaving Care Team in Slough.
The position is to start ASAP and will be ongoing until 30th May 2012 with the likelihood of this being renewed.
This position fills a statutory function for the LA, working with care leavers aged 16-24 year old in helping them move towards independence.
The Personal Advisor will be expected to hold a case-load of approx 25 young people and complete pathway plans for these that will detail how the LA will support the young people in securing accommodation, education and financial support.
In order to be considered for this position you must:
- Have previous experience of working in a Leaving Care Team or a similar position
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of young people leaving care
- Be up to date with relevant legislation
- Ideally, hold a degree level qualification relevant to the Personal Advisor position
- Hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle and willing to obtain business insurance
- Have experience of completing pathway plans
