Job Description
I have recently been approached by one of my high profile clients to recruit for a People / HR Manager to work within thier Senior Management Team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the HR function on site, driving culture and KPI’s, someone who has a proven track record of delivering results within a HR role. They must have experience of working as a People Manager and currently operating at Senior Management Level. Experience of working in a unionised environment would be ideal.
As a potential candidate you should be proactive, prepared to challenge the status quo, keen to contribute to decision-making and future HR strategy.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
• Managing HR Team to deliver an efficient and effective HR service to the site
• Achieving a below target absence percentage and managing all absence on site
• Establishing key result areas for team and management of team, conducting annual appraisals and reviews
• Ensuring all appraisals and reviews are completed in a timely manner
• Advise in Investigations, Disciplinaries and appeal hearings
• Driving culture on site through the Management Team
• Working closely with Operations Manager and the rest of Senior team to drive performance
• Operating in a unionised site and working with the union to drive performance
• Building good relationships with the board to improve the culture on site, drive grievances down and maintaining a good working relationships for the benefit of the site.
• Involvement in action focused meetings
• Motivate team to achieve goals and targets
• CIPD qualified would be preferred
