Organisation Description

Our client in Swindon is currently recruiting for a Payrolller to join their team on a contract basis.

Job Description

Your key duties will be:
- Ensuring prompt and accurate payroll payments, as well as providing key statistics to support the Payroll Operations Team Leader and assisting them to resolve ad hoc queries.
- Ensuring monthly BACS payment are correctly processed, to inputting and checking payroll payments. 
- Have a solid understanding of statutory legislation such as SMP, SSP, SAP SPP and Payroll processes of Tax and NI.
- Be proficient in Payroll practices and applications

Person Specification

The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment. 
- Have a strong working knowledge of MS Office and Oracle software. 
- Solid understanding of statutory legislation such as SMP, SSP, SAP SPP and Payroll processes of Tax and NI. 
-  A keen eye for detail.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing change
- Experience of the preparation of month end and year end tax returns and managing the on-going relationship with HMRC.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, good interpersonal skills, able to liaise with people at all levels and build strong relationships.
- Strong organisational skills, able to multi-task.
