A professional commercial business is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Assistant to start as soon as possible.
This permanent role has arisen due to an internal promotion and reports directly to the Payroll Controller within the finance team.
Job Description
In this role you will assist the Payroll Controller with the administration of payroll for approximately 200 staff, as well as staff expenses, and bank and cash.
Typical duties will include:
Assist with compilation of the annual P11Ds, PSA, P60s, etc, and processing and reporting of monthly NI, PAYE, pension and other deductions.
Assist with maintaining the company cash books and bank accounts, including bank reconciliations, issue of sundry cheques.
Primary controller of company car fleet and mobile phones
Insurance: assist with compilation of annual insurance renewal documentation, and act as primary liaison with insurance brokers.
Assist Accounts Payable team in processing invoices, dealing with queries, liaising with suppliers etc.
Person Specification
Applicants will need previous experience working within an accounting environment with a working knowledge of payroll procedures.
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Access is also important.
