Grow your career in a unique organisation that is growing too.

We are looking for a Payroll Advisor (P11D/BIK/RTI) to join one of the largest in-house payroll teams in Manchester City Centre. Join us in this newly established team where we will value your insight and you can help us to continuously improve the service we provide to colleagues and shape the direction of our payroll function. In return, you will be part of a supportive team who will invest in your development and give you the opportunity to progress your career within payroll.

As a Payroll Advisor (P11D/BIK/RTI) you will work as part of specialised team who provides support on P11d’s during the busy year end period. With a keen eye for detail, you will process high volumes of payroll data and validate payroll entries, spotting errors and anomalies in the information. When you have successfully submitted the P11D’s you will work with your colleagues to provide a first class payroll service to our employees, delivering excellent customer service in a high volume environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience of working with financial information in a customer focused environment. Ideally, you will have experience of working with payroll information and dealing with high volumes of data. More importantly, you will have strong administrative skills, a high degree of attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload effectively. In addition, you will possess strong IT skills and be confident in using Excel and other Microsoft packages.

The Co-operative Group is the UK’s largest mutual business, owned not by private shareholders but by almost six million members and employs over 100,000 people. When you join us, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work across our complex and diverse business, covering multiple sectors from retail to financial services. If you are excited about the opportunity to learn in our large in-house Payroll team, and are keen to join our rapidly expanding ethical family of businesses, we can offer you great benefits including development opportunities, pension and discounts.

As part of our pre-engagement screening we carry out credit reference and electoral roll searches with credit reference agencies on all your addresses over the last 3 years, to review information relating to bankruptcies, delinquencies, defaults and fraudulent activity. A footprint will not be left on your credit history.
