Position: Temporary UK contract. (Seconded to France). Possibility of extending to 18 months.

Salary: £ 20,000 P/A  + accommodation, + flights/Channel crossing

Hours: 06:30 - 15:30 / 14:30 - 22:30

Exciting Opportunity - Immediate Start

Based in France, Chamexpress are Chamonix's largest low-fare Airport Transfer provider operating scheduled, door-2-door, transfers between Geneva Airport and accommodation in the alpine holiday resorts of Chamonix, Morzine, Megeve and Courmayeur.

Chamexpress operate 12 months of the year in Chamonix and also between Nice Airport and Cannes during the summmer months.

There is currently a combined fleet of 22  8-seat and PCV minibuses and a staff of 35.

We are looking for an experienced Transport Controller to join our team:

Main Duties:

*   Supervision of Drivers - Ensuring passengers are collected on time, every time, and operational schedules are strictly adhered to. Monitoring of vehicle cleanliness and driver presentation. Identifying service issues and organising prompt resolution.

*  Supervision of Vehicles - Ensuring vehicle defect reporting system is maintained. Liasing with garage staff to ensure timely repair, servicing and maintenance of vehicles. Checking and filing of tachographs (where appropriate).

*  Supervision of Airport Representatives - Ensuring our passengers receive excellent customer service on their arrival at Geneva Airport together with the punctual departure of vehicles. Identifying and resolving passenger issues promptly.

*  Administration - Production of Drivers and Reps. daily passenger lists together with vehicle allocation. Checking and filing of paperwork and reconciliation of payments received.

*  Telephone -  Taking telephone bookings, dealing with passenger queries, providing quotations, and initial response to customer complaints

Essential Skills:

EU passport holder.

You must be a team player with good staff management skills. Excellent administrator. Dilligent, with good attention to detail and the ability to think 'outside the box'. Calm and Logical thinker and able to work under pressure in a hectic and sometimes stressful environment. Good telephone and computer skills. Experienced with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Ability to speak some French, or a willingness to learn, an advantage. PCV licence Holder preferred.

Previous experience in a similar role within the passenger or transport industry is essential with knowledge of Drivers Hours legislation an advantage.

Accommodation: A one-bedroom apartment is provided with this position and is located at our depot/office premises.

The successful applicant will be provided with a flight to/from the UK at the beginning and end of the contract, or alternatively a return Channel crossing for a car. You will be required to work shifts on a rolling rota, which will include weekends. 

Interviews will be held in Geneva or Chamonix and return flights from the UK will be provided.
