Financial Director, 3 days a week, International Events company,

North Home Counties & London based

£60,000 - £80,000 pro rata plus package 

Partnering with the Owner of this cash generative and successful company (c.£10 million t/o), this is a new position within the business.

The successful candidate will help to develop the finance department and lead a period of organic growth and expansion both in the UK and internationally. 

Responsibilities:

-      Implement robust financial controls across the business ensuring finance plays an active part in commercial decision making

-      Improve the management reporting ensuring management have accurate and reliable information 

-      Lead budgeting for the business and cash forecasting, building relationships with Banks and maximising profits  

-      Manage and develop the finance team - up-skilling and developing potential

-      Build strong and effective relationships with external advisors including Auditors and legal advisors

The Person:

-      Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with well developed technical accounting skills

-      Strong industry & commercial experience - able to deputise for the Managing Director

-      Previous experience of a growing company environment - able to manage change

-      Previous experience of due diligence and preparing a company for sale is essential

-      Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to influence non finance colleagues

-      Experienced manager - willing and able to develop team members
