Part-Time Financial Controller

Our client is multi-national body operating in the entertainment sector. They boast a client base of over 1000 companies across 100 countries that comprises of some of the world’s largest media companies.  With record sales in 2012 our client is primarily responsible for expanding the entertainment sector to emerging markets and promoting the industry through safeguarding their values and integrity.

Due to the successful growth of the business our client is looking for a Financial Controller to come on board on a part-time basis.  The candidate will be expected for 3 days a week over a period of 9 - 12 months, dedicating 2 days of the week to the position of Financial Controller with the remaining time predominantly spent providing analytical support and producing reports.   

Reporting to the CFO, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Complete monthly reporting and budgetary analysis, circulating budget variance reports to departmental directors and reporting packs with KPI’s to the CFO.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial budgets and financial accounts for audit
• Supporting the CFO with performance related financial analysis
• Overseeing and managing the work of two staff
• Managing UK and international VAT compliance, including ensuring all invoice documentation is compliant and returns are completed in line with regulations.
• Other ad-hoc project work

The successful candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant and have significant experience of management and financial accounts preparation.    Strong Excel skills will prove highly beneficial to your application while familiarity of Sage Line 200 is desirable. Management experience and the ability to communicate well with individuals on all levels would also be looked upon favourably..
