Job Description
This role is working 9 hours per week {1 night per week}, working waking nights hours of 2200 to 0700 on a rolling rota basis, to include weekends.
You will be required to provide high quality person centred support, in line with the values, philosophy and policies of the organisation. To support service users to be fully involved in all aspects of their lives and to encourage people to be as independent as possible.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Willing and able to undertake all relevant training, including relevant NVQ level
- Able to enable others to do things for themselves
- Able to identify opportunities for service users to participate in their communities if desired
- Reliable, with good timekeeping and attendance and able to work flexibly
- Able to follow instructions but also to work on your own initiative
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to react to a rapidly changing and varied environment
- Awareness of health and safety and risk
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to remain impartial and to support others to make decisions and choices
- Able to work shifts and unsociable hours, including bank holidays, evenings and weekends
- To have an appropriate level of fitness to be able to support service users in their home and in their communities.
