Job Description
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Part Qualified Accountant to join market leader in the global retail sector.
Reporting to the FC, you will be assisting with monthly accounts production, budgets & forecasting, business analysis and assisting general management of the accounts department. You will be highly accurate with impressive analytical skills and be able to manage multiple workloads whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication skills are essential to success in this role.
To be considered for this role you will have worked within an accounts function for a minimum of 7 years and have a proven track in management accounting.
Your duties include but are not limited to;
- Ensure precise balance sheets and reconciliation of major balances.
- Monthly forecasting of Revenues and Costs
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts including those in foreign currency.
- Calculating VAT payable and receivable and completing quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of periodic journals, accruals and prepayments to ensure full audit trail
- Intercompany reconciliations including preparation and despatch of sales invoices and receipt and recording of purchase invoices
- Producing monthly business analysis and insight reports.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining of financial systems.
Candidates must have advanced excel skills to include creation of macros as you will be converting raw data to a user friendly format.
