A national financial services company is looking for a paraplanner to join their team. The financial services offering has organically grown over the years and now the number of advisers around the country is circa 20+.  They are supported by a strong team of paraplanners and administration staff based in Cardiff.

As a paraplanner your main duties will include:

  • Undertake research required by Wealth Management Consultants to enable the consultants to provide financial solutions to their clients.
  • Create reports for the advisers to use when presenting the solutions to their clients.
  • Process applications in a timely manner, and carry out any necessary admin required.
  • Ensure all reports, research, admin and processing of paperwork is conducted in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Carry out client instructions relating to their policies and wishes.
  • Work within the Financial Services team to help drive the business forward, help support and train colleagues and promote best practice at all times.

As a paraplanner you need to have strong attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and under your own steam. You need to have a good knowledge of Financial Services across the whole range of products, specifically Investments and Employee Benefits. You must already be in a similar role and have paraplanning experience for preferably 2 years. Diploma would be desirable, however they will consider someone with relevant experience but only one or two exams away. Meticulous record keeping in all client dealings is necessary as well as the drive to sit further exams and progress your career is looked upon favourably. Previous financial services experience is a must.
