Paralegal

 Job profile

The primary role of the paralegal will be to handle RTA Pi claims in an efficient and proactive manner. The paralegal will be expected to have the knowledge to run RTA claims within and outside the MOJ claims process and demonstrate a working knowledge of the CPR pre action personal injury protocol. The paralegal will also be required to assist the senior fee earners and principal with their case load by undertaking certain tasks upon request. The role will also require the individual to collate and generate internal and external reports relating to PI cases and their statuses.  The paralegal will also be expected to:

• Represent the firm in a professional and courteous manner
• Make and receive telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Handle all matters with clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Work in a team environment
• Support and assist the Principal and Legal team
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Communicate key information to Principal and senior fee earners
• Respond to instructions given by senior management
• Issue legal documents and associated correspondence
• Communicate with clients to discuss technical details
• Ensure all events are recorded and updated on the case management system
• Good organisation and time management
• Respect for confidential information
• To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office inc Word and excel 
• Record payments on files in format agreed with senior management
• Understand and demonstrate(after training has been provided)a working knowledge and be able to use the Pro Claim case management system
• To comply with Service Level Agreements and Compliance Regulations
• Produce Management Information reports as requested by senior management for internal/external use
