Operations & Maintenance Technician (Wind Turbine Generators) - Wells-next-the-Sea - Staff Position

Located off the coast of North Norfolk in the UK, the 317 MW Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm will provide enough energy each year to power almost 220 000 British homes. Comprising 88 wind turbines fixed to the seabed and located between 17 and 22 km (9 to 12 miles) off the coast of North Norfolk.

Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm is jointly owned by Statoil - a world leading operator of offshore oil and gas fields and Statkraft - Europe s largest producer of renewable energy, through Scira Offshore Energy Limited. Statkraft is operator for Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm.

Your role:
To support the efficient operation of the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm, by contributing to an economically sound and safe operation of the plant with a focus on HSE and production-driven maintenance. Furthermore contribute to Statkraft s acquisition of relevant skills for plant operation and maintenance in offshore wind.

Key tasks/responsibilities:

Perform fault diagnosis and carry out repairs to wind turbines
Perform preventive maintenance and servicing referencing the service manual
Support with End of Warranty process
Carry out inspections of the turbines
Prepare fault reports and enter into the SAP system
Interface with all offshore contractors and personnel on a daily basis to ensure the operator s goals and targets are prioritised
Be a champion for quality processes, and ensure that all applicable rules and regulations are followed
Ensure safety is the guiding factor in the planning and execution of all tasks, and champion HSE processes and initiatives
Contribute to the achievement of agreed site Key Performance Indicators
Work with the planning, marine coordination and HSE teams as necessary to ensure seamless operations
Share knowledge gained with team members to develop team competency
Help ensure that the requirements for availability, profitability, quality and safety are met in the planning and execution of all maintenance
Help ensure that any discrepancies are reported and suggestions for corrective action and suggestions for improvements
Contribute to a positive, challenging, academic and social environment

Your profile:

Certificate or diploma in mechanical / electrical engineering Relevant technical experience on wind turbines is an advantage
Offshore experience is an advantage
Good team ethic, encouraging and respecting the contribution of others and volunteering information and ideas
Able to work under pressure
A proactive approach to Health and Safety
The ability to represent the Company to the highest standards
