This role is a genuine opportunity for a high calibre individual to join a stable growing financial services organisation.
Working as part of the Risk management team, the successful candidate will be required to assist in the design and implementation of a robust risk and control framework that supports the corporate risk management culture and champion risk practices in day to day management by:
- Undertaking analysis of the internal and external operational risk environment to support the routine and tailored reporting required on the corporate and industry risk environment
- Develop and maintain departmental reporting and analysis tools that support the reporting process.
- Facilitate the delivery and maintenance of group risk management reporting and analysis tools with the relevant business areas.
- To support the achievement of the above, build effective relationships within the business by:
1. Providing pro-active advice, guidance and support to promote and aid compliance with the corporate risk management culture and policies in a cost effective manner
2. To design and deliver risk and control training that raises and promotes risk awareness to all levels of staff and support the business in identifying risks and appropriate controls
3. Providing input to process development and business change initiatives considering both the strategic and localised risk implications
4. Challenge operational risk management activities throughout the business.
- Support the development and implementation of Solvency II enhancements in the risk management arena.
- To undertake projects and assignment from time to time as directed
- The ideal candidate will have strong academics.
- Significant experience of risk management, auditing techniques or business process analysis.
- Good understanding of risk management and corporate governance practices
- Good communication skills essential (both written and verbal)
- Capable of managing own work load, whilst working as a team in a professional, cooperative and mutually supportive manner.
- Ability to build relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to complete both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of operational risks and issues.
