Organisation Description

Our client is a specialist company in the payments industry. The company is now looking for Operation Manager to join the company who are willing to make a significant contribution to the delivery of its services.

Job Description

• To work directly with customers by attending "pre-sales" meetings, to gather requirements and define project roles during the initial phases of a project.
• To liaise with other departments (e.g. Operations, Support, Service Delivery, Development, Finance etc.) regarding the delivery of customer requirements.
• To ensure that all deliverables that are communicated to customers are clearly defined, realistic, agreed and committed to by all parties.
• To manage all aspects of the delivery of the project and ensure that the project plan is defined and maintained throughout the life cycle of the project.
• To be responsible for the ongoing management of customer expectations throughout the life cycle of the project, including regular customer liaison in conjunction with the Account Manager.
• To implement and act upon regular post-implementation customer reviews.
• Liaise closely with the Client Services and Operations teams to identify and resolve areas of concern, before they become problems to customers.

Person Specification

• Good customer communication skills
• Excellent project management skills and a proven track record in successful project implementation following industry standards e.g. PRINCE2, APM etc.
• Good leadership skills and the ability to motivate other members of the team
• Close attention to detail and ability to work reliably under pressure to tight timeframes
•  Industry experience of Payments, Chip and PIN, POS and Electronic Funds Transfer systems would be a distinct advantage
• all aspects of Card operations including:
Transaction Processing : Reconciliation and Settlement Disputes,3rd party management, Visa and MasterCard, compliance , Fraud Management / AML procedures

• Bachelor’s in Financial Management or equivalent 

• At least 5  years in banking preferably in card division

• Detailed knowledge of at least one of Card Issuing, Prepaid Cards, Visa and MasterCard Acquiring Services

• Experience working within similar vertical market sectors
• Motivated and dedicated self-starter
