Our client a multi site retail organisation based in north Nottinghamshire is recruiting an exciting opportunity for an Operational Accountant to join their Head Office team.
This role is a key function in the Commercial Finance team and will be strongly linked to the Marketing and Buying functions in the business.
Your duties will include –
Development and improvement of reporting in addition to promotional activity and events.
Determine, develop and implement robust financial controls.
Analyse sales, and profitability impact on promotional activity.
Provide insight on promotional targeting and related groups.
The ideal person will have strong academics, and have two plus years post qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and ideally exposure to retail / FMCG environment.
In addition the ability to work across the business and build relationships with customers / partners, whilst also demonstrating good decision making skills and confidence to question / challenge ideas.
