My client provides a wide range of integrated marine science services and currently operates a fleet of dedicated vessels including multi-role, nearshore and coastal and wind farm support vessels.
Job Description:
Working time will be divided between offshore and office, with office duties focussed on liaison with the variety of management teams, providing detailed advice and documentary support for pre-tender questionnaires and project management. You will also contribute to detailed records and statistics for QA and legislative compliance.
When available onshore, you will lead our Geosciences HSSE inductions and support personnel on-site, whilst providing a contributory role into the company’s ISM system and Group HSSE Department. Your specialist HSSE input may also be required at client meetings or visits.
Responsibilities will include provision of HSSE documentation, inductions, liaison and guidance for geotechnical vessel mobilisations and fieldworks. Onboard tasks will include daily HSSE support of the geotechnical team, liaison with the client and often their HSSE representative, plus communications with the relevant company offices.
In the event of any incidents the HSSE Advisor will be the designated contact and coordinator.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have seagoing experience, a working understanding of the marine industry and be capable of attaining required offshore medical and safety certification to enable worldwide offshore support of our geotechnical investigation projects.
Formal HSSE qualifications (NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent) are a definite advantage and as a minimum, the candidate will have exposure to European offshore health and safety culture.
Experience of working in offshore drilling would also be an advantage.
