Night Concierge

Concierge required for waking night post.  To work within a residential home for vulnerable adults within mental health. 

This is a 10 week temporary to permanent position and will operate 4 nights on 4 nights off.  Waking nights 9pm-8am

Purpose of this role is to provide an efficient night concierge service within Supported Housing.  To respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure the security and health and safety of premises and residents whilst maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism.

Duties to include;

- Receive visitors/tenants at reception in a professional and courteous manner and deal with all routine enquiries.

- Deal with telephone calls, directing recording, passing on information and messages and detailing action taken

- Undertake routine building checks to ensure security, health and safety and general tidiness of building

- Maintain the CCTV

- Be familiar with fire evacuation procedures and to carry out this function in case of a fire

- Respond to emergencies via use of specialist agencies

- Check internal/external lighting daily, changing bulbs as required

- Keep accurate and appropriate recordings of activities undertaken throughout the night

- Liaise with support staff to ensure service users needs are continually met

- Challenge unauthorised visitors

A least one years experience of working within security / concierge post and the knowledge of mental health/supported housing is desirable.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure.  Expense will be met by applicant
