The Company
Our client is a major player in the chilled food industry and has grown organically over recent years by making continuous investments in the infrastructure and systems. They have a wide range of high profile brands and products our client has an extremely high profile customer base. Our client is looking to recruit a New Product Development Manager - Chilled Foods based in the Peak District in Derbyshire.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the New Product Development Manager - Chilled Foods role:-
* Manage the NPD process from concept-implementation and develop products and packaging solutions which sustains long term growth
* Understand customer needs and develop clear NPD plans which will drive the business
* Review and interpret market data / trends and transform these into tangible new product and packaging ideas and concepts in conjunction with procurement and sourcing
* Project manage NPD briefs
* Control NPD process
* Identify opportunities to grow business with new and existing customers
The Candidate
The New Product Development Manager - Chilled Foods experience and qualifications
* Experience with a top four retailer
* Strong planning and organisational abilities
* Able to promote and implement positive improvement and change
* Ability to develop and build long term relationships
* Good knowledge of the Dairy industry
* Educated to degree level in a food related subject
* Analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated, have excellent problem solving skills
* Tenacious and tough minded
* Passion and enthusiasm for great quality food
* Fully conversant in Microsoft Office
The Reward
In return, the New Product Development Manager - Chilled Foods will receive an excellent remuneration package including a base salary of £40k plus benefits including, healthcare, pension and 20 days holiday rising to 22 days after one year of service.
