Network Technician - RM & Microsoft

Capita are looking for Network Technician to provide visiting technician support to schools in the West Midlands area. This role will require you to have you own transport which must be insured for business use, with a full, clean driving licence.

The Network Technician will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Windows 2003/2008 servers, XP/Win 7 Clients, troubleshooting network and server problems and will require you to be highly competent on Research Machines (RM) CC3 and CC4. The Technician will also be responsible for building and deploying MSI packages on RM CC3 and CC4. The role will require you to create and deploy images using GHOST, Microsoft Deployment tool or other imaging tool. Ideally you will have supported Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010, although this is not essential.

The Network Technician will have significant contact with Capita’s clients and will require you to have excellent communication skills and be customer focussed with the ability to make IT speak sound ‘non-technical’

As this role is based within School’s the successful candidate will be required to undergo a CRB enhanced clearance.
