Network Engineer (Cisco)

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join a company in Dunfermline.   Educated to minimum HND level (or above) in a computing or software engineering discipline or relevant work experience.

You will be part of a team configuring and implementing new solutions and enhancements to the existing infrastructure. Key to the role is ensuring full availability of all LAN, WAN and VoIP systems as well as integrity across servers and applications.

Competency/Skill Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
• Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
• Working technical knowledge of current Internet standards, including BGP, IP, Radius, SSH, VOIP, VLAN, SSL.
• Extensive experience with core administrative, security, and monitoring applications, including Cisco Enterprise Network Administrator, Cisco ASDM.
• Excellent troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive support experience with Cisco ASA firewalls, 3750 switches and AS5400 modem racks (CCNA at least)
• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows XP, Windows Server 2003.

This is a permanent role with an established, international employer. Salary is negotiable in the region of £30,000 per annum, DOE.
