Responsibilities
* To support and ensure the execution of excellent housing management and support services designed around customer requirements
* To ensure that service delivery is conducted to a high level within available budgets, working with partnership to maximise use of all available resources to support safe and inclusive communities
* To deliver local communications strategies to enable communities to input into local, neighbourhood, and borough-wide strategies and service issues
* To ensure the community’s interests are understood and represented in wider forums, including those deciding strategies with direct impact on the Neighbourhood
* To ensure that all estate services, communal facilities, care taking and other environmental maintenance activities, response repairs, decent home liaison and housing management functions are provided to a high standard including local input to regeneration activity
* To monitor the performance and condition of grounds maintenance, and communal areas, service level agreements and other contractors’ to ensure residents receive a good service
*To maximise tenant and resident satisfaction with all housing management and support services, and to implement measures to continue to identify customer requirements, and improve satisfaction levels
Candidate
The successful candidate for the role of Neighbourhood Support Officer will have the following:
*At least 2 years experience of working in housing and/ or support related service or other public service environment
*Experience of effectively working within a customer focused, service delivery organisation
*Experience of dealing directly with members of the public in a Neighbourhood Support Officer or similar Estates Management role
*Knowledge of current Local Government democratic processes and understanding of the political context.
*Demonstrate experience of working with partnerships and multi-agency working environment
*Minimum of HNC or equivalent in related subject
*Demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to the delivery of housing management and support services including rental income collection, legislative changes due to welfare reform, leaseholder management and performance management.
*Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours
