National Tax Senior Manager (Technical)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000

This is an exciting opportunity tom be a member of the National Tax team responsible for the tax quality control programme and standards related guidance in relation to tax work (principally the Tax Compliance Manual)

Responsibilities: 

Running the tax quality control review programme to cover the entire practice over a two year period, which includes participating in office visits, coordinating the results, drafting reports in conjunction with other reviewers as necessary, presenting the findings when necessary and negotiating reports with individual partners.
Preparing reports on QCR results for the Executive and standards partner and making recommendations for improvements.
Review of potential partners' work.
Risk management on tax products - specifying risk management procedures, drafting engagement terms
Recommendations of key tax risk management actions.
Keeping the Tax Compliance Manual updated, including drafting new or revised policy as appropriate.
Producing and updating the firms tax related word templates, including engagement terms.
Review of potential disclosures under DoTAS rules and keeping DoTAS guidance updated; quarterly reporting to HMRC.

Skills:

ACA and/ or CTA qualified
Good tax technical and risk management awareness
