This role would suit those with experience of field sales and people management ideally within the education/ courses /media sales industry.
Working closely with the Head of Sales the National Account Manager will have two main responsibilities:
- Account managing some of the top Courses Advertisers in the UK. This is a client facing position where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing clients, developing the relationships with these clients, renewing them and where possible up-selling.
- Managing and leading the Account Executives within Courses Advertising Sales team. Mentoring, supporting, training and driving the team forward so each individual achieves target as does the team on a regular basis.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensuring objectives, sales standards, processes and structures are embedded throughout the team through continual monitoring, performance management and period reviews
- Building relationships with advertising agencies to generate new business in the academic and educational sectors
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis with key accounts and match requirements to reed.co.uk products
- Confidently demonstrate reed.co.uk's products and conduct on-site training where necessary
- Maintain business relationships with clients to ensure continued utilisation of reed.co.uk and identify opportunities to sell further products or solutions
- Write contracts and proposals that conform to agreed standards
- Negotiate contract pricing within agreed limits ensuing that all business won meets agreed margins
- Attend networking events and industry awards ceremonies (where appropriate) to build personal portfolio and the reed.co.uk brand
Experience
- Strong sales skills with the ability to generate new business and account manage and grow existing clients
- Experience in leading and developing a high performance sales team
- Demonstrable background in field sales preferably within online media
- Proven track-record of consistent achievement of sales KPIs and sales targets

- Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with a diverse range of people
