Multiskilled Technician

My client is a leading manufacturer in its field seeking an experienced Multiskilled Technician to join their team in a permanent role. The successful candidate must be prepared to work various shifts in a high speed, high volume packaging facility.

The Role

-        70% Mechanical 30% electrical split

-        Working with pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, vacuum systems etc

-        Also confident at fault finding and working on PLCs

-        Planned and unscheduled maintenance, dealing with breakdowns in tight timeframes

-        Documenting faults and work completed

-        Providing technical expertise outside of normal working hours if a major malfunction occurred over the telephone

The Successful Candidate

-        Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of days and nights or rotating shift pattern so must be flexible

-        ONC/HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering, along with 16th/17th edition wiring regulations qualified

-        Previous experience of high speed, high volume packaging machinery, ideally in a clean room or hygienic environment, Food sector or Pharmaceutical sector.

-        Experienced in working with a variety of PLCs to include Mitsibushi, Allen Bradley or Siemens
