Job purpose
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive Repairs to Split Air Conditioning Units, Variable Refrigerant Volume Systems, Chillers, Air Handling Units & other Mechanical associated plants within various buildings.

*(Not all of the below requirements will apply. We require Multi Skilled Engineers to be experienced within a sector i.e. HVAC, Gas or Electrical)*
Main Duties/ Key Tasks
• Self managed, to ensure targets are achieved
• Repair and servicing of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) equipment
• Ensure refrigerants are transported & handled in accordance with current Health & Safety Regulations
• Carrying out the building fabric inspections & the PPM duties, the engineers will respond to any reactive calls in their areas
• Installation/Repair/Modification of electrical infrastructure systems & advising on sub-contracted performances/workmanship
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set goals & giving solutions to problems
• Provision of job feedback information to help desk & senior engineer
• Responding to customer needs and building relationships in a professional manner
• HSE management in accordance with our Quality Management System & all legal & statutory requirements
• To ensure the Company’s Health and Safety & Environmental Policies are adhered to
• Able to work at height
• Engineers are given a list of sites that they are required to look after on a monthly basis, carrying out various statuary monthly checks
• Willingness to undertake non-electrical tasks (i.e. change a door handle, fix a toilet seat, replace a washer in a tap etc.) as undertaking the full range of duties is an essential requirement of the MSE role, regardless of whether the engineer has an Electrical /Gas/HVAC specialism - Ability to multi-task
• Participation in callout cover for this contract that runs from 17.00 hrs Friday continuing thru till 08.00 hrs the following Friday - which is on a rota basis
• This is a very diverse contract and suits candidates that are self motivated, have good people skills, who enjoy a challenge and who are prepared to work as a team delivering a “can do” service to our various clients, at times this may involve more travelling than is ideal, or even carrying out some what menial tasks
• There is a certain amount of paperwork that is required & it is essential this is presented promptly & neatly every Monday.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
• A demonstrable track record in a similar environment and previous experience in a similar role - Experience of maintaining Split AC units
• Ideally educated to degree standard in a related subject, but with a minimum qualification of ONC (or equivalent)
• Relevant trade qualifications i.e. FGAS 2079
• HSE

*Must hold a UK Driving Licence
*Company Vehicle provided (used for business purposes only in accordance with Company Policy)
*Use of vehicle tracker technology is in place to ensure efficiencies / productivity is maximised
*Security clearance (Home Office Counter Terrorism Check) is a pre-requisite for the role & all
employees must agree to complete the paperwork & issue all relevant ID documentation as part of the recruitment process
Training/ Salary/ Holiday entitlement & Start
• There are opportunities for further career advancement
• Salary - £25,000 - £27,000 (If requirements are met)
• 20 days holiday plus statuaries this runs from Jan till Dec
• Start date - MARCH/ APRIL 2012
