Motor Underwriter
Salary: £20,000 - £30,000
Location: Cardiff
A leading insurance company based in Cardiff has a fantastic opportunity for a Personal Lines Underwriter with strong product knowledge and relationship building skills. The successful candidate will be dealing with referrals from assistant underwriter, liaising with brokers, analysing account performance and contributing to product development.
Exposure to commercial vehicle experience would be preferable. Knowledge of EDI is essential.
Responsibilities:
Handling technical referrals, both internal and external
Enhancing processes and controls
Carrying out audits
Building and maintaining relationships with third party suppliers
Involvement in account analysis and making recommendations to improve performance
Producing and maintaining underwriting guides and policy wordings
Keeping abreast of market and regulatory developments
Skills:
Strong technical Personal Lines experience
Knowledge of EDI
Good understanding of the general insurance market
Computer Literate
