MI Data Analyst

We are interested to hear from candidates who are highly motivated, able to learn new processes quickly combined with a basic knowledge of MS Access and Excel. Someone with a drive for success, hard working, diligent and ideally have experience working within a busy team. Experience in previous MI role is valuable but not essential; however someone who is looking to get into IT with a background of maths, statistics or business studies would be beneficial i.e. qualification/previous experience.

The role will entail providing a range of reports to various stakeholders as part of the Operations MI team. Ensuring that accurate and relevant information is provided to both your own department and the wider business. You will be providing analysis through a use of MS Excel, Access and Business Objects for both large datasets and also ad-hoc reports.

In the role of MI Data Analyst the key responsibilities are:

• Creating reports for various areas of the business
• Build, develop & maintain databases - use of VB/SQL would be advantageous
• Provide technical expertise in data analysis - attention to detail is essential
• Building & maintaining customer relationships through good interpersonal skills
• Working on projects to deliver innovative reporting solutions
• Ability to work productively as a team member to tight deadlines
• Good numeracy skills and ability to work under pressure

Key Criteria

• Minimum education requirement - 5 GCSE’s grade C or above including Maths & English or equivalent
• Creative in finding solutions to problems posed by requests for information
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially Access & Excel
• Building & maintaining customer relationships through good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good teamwork
• Accuracy & attention to detail
