The GB Logistics team in Uxbridge requires a Manager, Logistics - Material Supply, reporting to the Material Supply Manager. This is a new role, the key focus of which will be to manage the resin supply in support of CCE preforms requirements across Europe. Given the emphasis on sustainability and recycling and the targets set by the Leadership team in the 2014 vision, this role will be vital to achieving critical success factors for CCE in the short to medium term.
Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic interaction with a number of stakeholders (Procurement, Commercialisation, PET converters and suppliers, & the wider Material Supply team) to ensure timely supply of resins in support of CCE preform requirements
2. Working with stakeholders to manage the introduction of new resins, required to meet CCEs operational or strategic needs.
3. Ensure high levels of availability of approved resin to CCE converters to ensure preform availability in support of CCE's production plans, normally working to a 3-6 month rolling window. This will require close interaction of PET preform planners across CCE operations
4. Working to ensure that CCE's vision on rPET usage across our preforms is achieved. In the short term this will involve the integration of the new (joint venture) Continuum rPET resin into the business.
5. Delivering the above at least cost to the business.
Success will be measured in the following ways:
• Availability of resin in support of CCE PET preform requirements.
• Delivery of the recycled PET (rPET) strategy.
• Cost management
Qualification:Degree qualified or degree calibre preferred
Skills and experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience of working across cultures - pan European experience in particular will be highly regarded
. Strong knowledge of material supply
• Excellent organisational skills
• Evidence of having influenced and challenged senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of procurement and supplier performance management
• Change management
• Production planning disciplines and routines
• Familiarity with stock profiles
• Customer service metrics
• Channel ordering characteristics, forecasting
Languages: Any European languages would be beneficial but not essential, in particular French, Dutch, Norwegian and German.
Travel: This role will involve approximately 10% travel, predominantly across GB but also includes European travel.
