Membership Services Administrator (Professional Body)

Position: Member Services Administrator
Location: Bristol/Homes Based
Salary: £21,000 pa.

ROLE:
The Administrator / Admin Executive will assist with actions to help raise the profile of chartered surveyors and grow and develop the membership, specifically supporting the engagement of local members in accordance with our client`s business plan.

Some of your main responsibilities will be to develop and maintain good communications with members and third parties, assisting with the organisation of Local member group`s meetings. You will also be a conduit for feedback from and the delivery of key messages to Local member groups and will support the Director in the delivery and engagement of Members in the work of our client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) The Administrator / Admin Executive will provide administrative support to Local member groups.
b) Be the focus for two-way communication between our client and Local member groups and feed up of insights and market knowledge to support the delivery of our client`s UK Objectives.
c) Co-ordinate papers for the local member group`s `committee` meetings ensuring all members are adequately briefed.
d) Ordering, booking (venues) and authorising payment (in respect of Local member group activities) of all suppliers including the signing of contracts for the supply of services.
e) Assist and support the delivery of local activities on behalf of local member groups.
f) Organise locally targeted marketing using the membership database to provide local information as required.
g) Participate fully as part of the whole UK delivery team to give a seamless service and contribute ideas and feedback towards the delivery of our client`s UK business plan.
h) Provide administrative support for the work of Membership Business Development Managers.
i) Support the delivery of our client`s Awards where appropriate.
j) Administer local element of regional support systems (enquiry handling, website, contribution to newsletters, etc.).
k) Assist with co-ordination and delivery of locally based careers and education activities.
l) Provide support to the delivery of local activities on behalf of our client as required by the Member Services Manager and or Director.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience within a Customer Service / Administration environment.
b) Good organisational skills.
c) Good attention to detail enabling data entry accuracy.
d) You will work well as part of a team.
e) Excellent Communication Skills.
f) Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
g) Flexible and Adaptable with a positive `can do` attitude.
h) You will have a valid UK driving Licence and be a car driver.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
h) Knowledge of Surveying Profession.
