Media Manager/ Senior Planner Buyer

We’re looking for a talented media manager for our client
This is an unrivalled opportunity to join a fantastic team in a global agency based in the South East

You’ll be heading up the team of planner /buyers - so confidence and a positive 'can do’ attitude are an absolute must.

About you

You’ll have a genuine interest in media and advertising

You’ll have a few years experience in media planning and buying - ideally in a London agency.

You’ll have a good all-round understanding of media planning across all disciplines; from traditional print to radio and outdoor, of course experience in PPC, digital and social media and of course experience in TV and national press.

This role is client facing role so you’ll have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, media owners and the rest of the agency!

KEY AREAS:

  • A strong background innational press or digital planning and buying is essential.
  • You’ll be a talented negotiator with a solid list of media owner contacts.
  • You’ll have comms planning experience with a good understanding of both traditional and new media channels including press, TV, outdoor, radio, digital, social media and PPC.

The principle skills

  • To provide effective and accurate media plans to client brief, competitive media value for clients and strive to consistently improve rates and placement.
  • To provide thorough and well constructed media strategy and detailed media plans for clients working to and beyond written and verbal briefs received. To drive creativity and where possible develop innovative and bespoke media solutions.
  • To demonstrate solid knowledge of all media areas: digital, television, radio, press, outdoor, cinema and door-to-door.
  • To support and develop the agency’s digital planning and buying service by co-ordinating and managing online display and search campaigns. Also ensuring that agency staff and clients are updated and informed of major online developments on a regular basis.
  • To make use of all available media research tools (such as AdDynamix, MMS, Dart and TGI).
  • To demonstrate good communication skills.
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, key media suppliers and group departments.
  • To prepare media market reviews as and when required.
  • To provide regular media information to Account Management and clients as specified.
  • To analyse and prepare media data and research as briefed.
